I tased him ON ACCIDENT cuz he scared me. I wasn't going to leave him on the ground in the cold. we were both defending ourselves. would you want me to bring a stranger into my home or my uncle's home without precautions???
[THIS STORY IS SO SKETCH, MILES, DO YOU SEE HOW SKETCH IT LOOKS.
... He knows he's missing something here. Some really key piece.]
Uhuh. Where does Gwen fit into all of this, again? And why did Spider-People involve a 14-year-old kid in Super-Collider business? Or Kingpin and Doctor Octavius? Sounds like they're involving civilians in pretty concerning circumstances.
I met her at school. and I'm not a kid. the Peter that I met and accidentally tased wasn't from my universe. I knew that because
because the Peter from my universe died protecting me. it was my fault. I promised him I'd help him before he was killed.
then the other Peter scared me and I didn't know what was going on so yeah maybe I tied him up but I didn't kidnap him! I helped him figure out what was going on.
I'm guessing that was the idea and you didn't really want to tell me that something had happened to another me.
you shouldn't have been pulled into something with super villains involved, still. You could've gotten killed yourself, or hurt really bad. You're just a civilian, not some
[Huh. He doesn't complete the thought, because he ends up lost in other thoughts.
Miles Morales is a smart kid, but... helping stop a super-collider? At his age?
And the others actually let him get involved?
Something about this... is just not adding up.
... Jesus Christ, this is the second dead Peter he's learned about, since his arrival.]
Or is that a knock-knock-knock on your window some ten minutes later, and Peter Parker without his Spider-Man uniform on sticking outside of the wall there? C'mon, bud, you had to have known he was going to come hunt you down. That's just how this works. Granted he's still kind of gross and sick, wobbly where he's perching like he's not quite as adhesive as usual — y'know, like cheap dollar store glue on paper.]
Miles, pssst...!
You asked if I needed anything; do you have a glass of water in there?
[ There's an abrupt loud noise from somewhere in the room, and then a scrambling like a kid hiding something. Then there's some stumbling as Miles trips his way over to the window.
The window isn't opened, but the blinds are, at least. ]
Go home, Peter.
[ Miles is well aware that a flimsy little window won't stop him if he wants in. It's not even locked. But he hopes Peter respects him a bit more than that. ]
Would if I could, kid, but home's pretty far away.
[But there's a long pause. A considerable one.]
... Alright, I'll just sit down here until you're ready to talk to me.
[If you think for one moment he's not going to sit down on the ground below and wait until Miles ushers him to actually come in, you're sorely mistaken, because he does just that. He's a patient guy, y'know? Just maybe wishes he had his handheld gaming device to use, the one he had on stake-outs (now owned by Brianna, a much wiser choice for it).
[He sits with his forehead on his knees, and sighs.]
... I'm dehydrating by the second...
[Looking up from down below, he smiles hopefully.]
Am I not gonna be ignored until the early morning hours? Because I gotta say, I'm dedicated to the concept, but I really don't want to sit out here until 2 AM.
[He starts his shifty little wallcrawl, once he knows he's all clear, and starts making his way through the window.]
I just wanted to make sure you were okay... You were pretty troubled earlier. And I feel like you have a lot to talk about with the whole — Spider-Man thing, that you haven't really got to before. And if the other Spider-Man was anything like me, he'd want to make sure you had a chance.

I doubt I could even kidnap Spider-Man if I wanted to.
WHICH I DON'T WANT TO.

"electrocuted him"
"drag him into my uncle's crib"
"I did sorta tie him up so I guess I kinda deserved it"

not some hero.
I know.
if I was I would have stopped Kingpin somehow.
I couldn't sit back and let another Spider-Man die!
not because I didn't do anything!
or any spider-person!
I'm gonna go man.
talk to you later.
[ The Morales family doesn't run away from things, but he had, and it had ended up costing Peter his life. ]

UGH UGH UGH!
Does that sound like Miles stomping in place?
A moment of silence, then some muffled yelling -- like he's yelling into a pillow or something.
Aaaand then oh, look at that, he's opening his window.
Don't be weird spider-sense, don't be weird. ] Do you really need water?
